SERVICES SECTOR
SERVICES SECTOR
The services sector is a diverse industry with a wide range of potential job opportunities. Some of which are trading and logistics, financial services, tourism, healthcare, education and creative services etc.
Job Descriptions
Many services are defined primarily in terms of the interpersonal relationship involved. Examples of this are found both in the rapidly expanding private service sector (security services or high-tech consultancy services, financial, accounting and management services) and in the more traditional public sector (social services, health and education services, etc.). In both these cases, information and communication play a vital role.
Personal Qualities
Many jobs in the services sector involve working closely with people, so having good communication skills are important. You also need to work well in a team. You may need to be able to control people, such as handling young children. Many of the jobs involve working shifts and working when most other people are not - for example, evenings, weekends and public holidays. You need to be able to work under pressure at times and a sense of humour helps.
Education Qualifications
A good general education is required. English and Maths are usually needed. Depending on which particular career in the services sector that you are interested in, quality passes in subjects like sciences or arts are essential.
Overall Key Skills
- knowledge skills;
- technical skills;
- interpersonal skills; and
- flexibility and adaptability.
Therefore, all our youths today of all educational levels must be willing to adapt to the new challenges and to make the efforts to learn new skills to find a place in the new economy.

YOUTHS OF TODAY, KNOWLEDGE WORKERS OF TOMORROW
The youths of today will make up the workforce of the new economy of tomorrow. More and more of these young people are finding that what they learn in school may not be enough to keep them working for their whole lives. New technologies and economic globalisation are pushing change that demands lifelong education.

Singapore will become a creative and innovative society, always eager to try out new ideas. In terms of the emerging industries, manufacturing and services sectors will grow in importance.
While manufacturing will become more knowledge- and research-intensive, the services sector will be upgraded and expanded.

kesedaran
dari mane datang tu kesedaran untuk berubaj for the good..
of course la,mesti tertanye2 good tu ape. biar semua faham, maybe good tu means jangan too much bile buat orang!!!!
datang satu moment i realise the good person always think that the bad boleh berubah for the good. yang the bad/jahat tu kate diri sendiri tak leh berubah... wah sakit hati betui.
second realisation, the good tak faham the bad and vice versa. hard to explain but this mental difference exist. simple aje eg. yang baik tak faham kenape si jahat tu buat like that... but for the jahat, this is not an issue. "i buat jahat i punye suke".
this selfish instinct yang walaupun tahu ade orang yang sayang dia, they choose this way, disappointing other people as long they are happy.
siape yang teruk? the kafirs who dah tentunye macam tu or kite yang tak tahu fikir?

entertainment spots
hardrock cafe, chijmes, st james power station....
banyak betul tempat hiburan untuk youngsters ni kat singapore. i never stepped into any of these. i main starbucks, breeks, you know those kind of places.
reasons simple:
1. i don't drink
2. don't smoke
3. don't dance
4. dress modestly
what is the idea of PARTY behind clubs/clubbing???
mesti the intermingling of the sexes in their best dressed. what happens after the lights go off is another thing.
true manusia tu social creatures. i love social events! tapi when drawn into situations yang gelap, smoky, vision blur (pasal drunk) etc. sure its fun cos you "let down your hair". lepas tu?
mane the decent interaction and most important the lasting relationship because of true care and concern and not just for "one night stands"
and maybe this is not time to get religious. i sedar just like di dunia ni ade berbagai agame, maybe dalam masyarakat kite sendiri, i try not to be judgemental.

coin game
pernah tak awak sewaktu secondary school tu selepas exams. main "coin" game atau pencil game. di atas kertas ni terletak alphabets, numbers, etc... lepas tu the players point a finger each on the coin or a pencil. lepas tu they take turn to ask questions. then the coin or pencil 'jalan' ke numbers/alphabets/other info tu and start circling the answers to the question.
alah umur masuh tak ingat ape2, so tanye la "what is the name of my ...", "what is my age"...macam2. tapi the answers now da lupe pun so tak dapat verify/confirm betul tidak.
now thinking back, it was a scary thing to do. kalau ape2 terjadi? n who can explain what cause the coin to move.
sekarang zaman da maju so budak2 main xbox, ps3 etc. maybe this is better. but ini pun bukannye takde problems.. violence in games and the kids become more aggressive...
lepas tu kalau perangai ni terbawak2, jangan cakap rumahtangga abusive to spouse, tengah dating pun mungkin hati yang keras dah tertanam di jiwa tu. tak berhati perut tapi dengar lagu jiwang2 konon.
